Texas gives you a lot of choice: PowerToChoose.org lists hundreds of public plans from retail electricity providers across the state. That's a great starting point, but it isn't the whole market.
Some of the best-fit plans never make it to a public list. Providers negotiate special rates directly with brokers like WattTrim, or make certain plans available only through partner platforms. By building relationships with these providers and platforms, WattTrim can widen the pool of plans we analyze against your actual usage data, so you're not limited to only what's advertised publicly.
In short: partnerships mean more plans in the running, which means a better shot at finding the one that actually fits how you use electricity.
What the Badges Mean
As WattTrim analyzes your Smart Meter data against 1,500+ plans, you'll notice two small badges on certain results. Here's what they tell you:
Plans negotiated through WattTrim's direct broker agreements with providers. These plans are not available on PowerToChoose.org and can only be found through WattTrim.
Plans available through our affiliate partners. These plans also aren't listed on PowerToChoose.org, and they represent another way WattTrim expands the options available to you.
Both badge types denote plans not listed on PowerToChoose.org. WattTrim earns a commission when you enroll in a badged plan, but your rankings are always based on your actual usage data.
